Shining Xu is a designer and interactive media artist in her senior year at Northeastern University, where she’s majoring in Visual Communication Design. Her work combines a passion for art, technology, and storytelling to create innovative digital experiences.

Her creative journey has included projects like a 2D puzzle game inspired by ancient Chinese mathematics and an interactive media piece exploring traditional Chinese medicine. Driven by a strong belief in the educational potential of technology, she developed an AR-based learning tool for children, using virtual pets to make complex topics more engaging and accessible.

Beyond her digital projects, Shining is dedicated to bringing art education to rural communities. She has led photography and art courses, offering creative learning opportunities to students in underserved areas.
